What does it cost?

The FlexEquip range includes assistive technology (aids and equipment) that are loaned or rented for short to medium-term use. The returned items are checked and cleaned according to a strict cleaning protocol by FlexEquip staff prior to subsequent loan or rental.

Cost

Depending on your particular circumstances, FlexEquip equipment may be loaned or rented to you. See Who can get FlexEquip assistive technology? for eligibility.

FlexEquip assistive technology loans - For people with motor neurone disease who are not NDIS participants.

If FlexEquip agrees to loan an item to you, the rental cost of the assistive technology item provided to you is fully subsidised by the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW.

FlexEquip assistive technology rental (NDIS) - For people who are NDIS participants who have motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy or other rapidly progressive neurological condition.

If you are an NDIS participant FlexEquip will rent an item to you if, prior to provision of an item:

  • the support item or bundle is included in your NDIS participant plan and
  • FlexEquip is selected by you as an assistive technology provider and
  • funding is available in the assistive technology budget in your NDIS plan.

If FlexEquip assistive technology is rented to you a rental agreement will be negotiated with you.
