New size options for beds and mattress overlays including limited supply of air replacement systems now available through FlexEquip.
FlexEquip is now providing king single homecare electric beds, king single mattress overlays and a very limited number of full air mattress replacement systems.
The king single sizing offers a wider surface area for people who have a larger body frame or who have health conditions that make it difficult with turning in a standard single size bed.
A justification report on the urgency of need and why an alternative single bed or mattress does not meet the participants needs will be requested by FlexEquip from the assessing health professional for consideration for approval to provide.
The king single beds feature
- hi-lo,head elevation
- knee break
- Trendelenburg position
- provided with a standard foam mattress
- option for foot extension if the person is taller than 183cm (6 Foot)
FlexEquip beds are not provided with bed rails.
If there is an in-home care service, prior to submitting a referral for one of the king single beds, it is important to check with the care service provider to ensure the home care staff are approved to work with the wider bed.
Full air mattress replacements
There is also a very limited stock of full air mattress replacement systems available. Again, a justification report from the assessing health professional will be requested by FlexEquip.
