How do I return a FlexEquip item?

The client, or their family, are responsible for contacting FlexEquip when an item is no longer used or no longer required.

FlexEquip will organise for the item to be picked up. The sooner the assistive technology item is returned, the sooner it can become available for another client.

If the item has been rented, the cost of retrieval will be covered in your rental agreement. FlexEquip pays the retrieval costs for loaned items. However, sometimes the client or their family may be asked to post back some smaller items at their own cost, for example for small communication devices.

The client, or their family, is responsible for ensuring that the assistive technology aid or item is cleaned and ready for pick up at the agreed time.


With communication devices, clients are asked to have available any delivery packaging that arrived with the item when it was delivered, if this is practicable. It can be used for re-packaging when the item is posted back.


Sometimes, you can help by arranging to drop-off of items at FlexEquip during business hours. However, do not drop-off items unless you have made arrangements to do so with FlexEquip staff.
