A portable communications device that amplifies voice output for people with deteriorating speech or respiratory strength; their speech is very soft or they get breathless trying to talk.
The microphone is plugged into the speaker unit and then is positioned close to the mouth. The speaker unit is attached to either the user’s waist or shirt pocket and then turned on or off. The user can speak without forcing the volume whilst the speaker unit amplifies the voice.
